8TH Grade Parents and Scholars,

My name is Monica Prieto, and I’m excited to introduce myself as the new 8th grade counselor at Santa Teresa Middle School.

For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a counselor at Chaparral High School. Before joining Gadsden ISD, I dedicated 33 years to the Texas public school system, supporting students and families across various grade levels.

On a personal note, I’m a proud mother of two and a happy grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter and two beloved fur-grandbabies.

I look forward to working closely with you and your incoming 8th grade student this year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns—I’m here to support you and your student every step of the way.
